Be part of our mission to support all parents to build a stronger society.
As we continue to focus on recovery and renewal as well as maintaining our critical work on responding to the impacts of the pandemic, there has never been a more important time to join our Board of Trustees.
Find out how you can help to drive forward our plans to become an open, inclusive and diverse charity and help us move closer to a vision of having a world in which no parent is isolated and all parents are supported.
Trustees are critical to the success of NCT
We’re asking for your help to take positive action to increase the diversity and lived experience on our Board of Trustees.
We’re now inviting nominations from our NCT membership to fill three trustee vacancies.
The role of an NCT trustee is vital to ensuring the charity is run effectively and acts in the best interests of all parents. We thank our members for voting for our future and volunteering to build the skills and capacity on our Board.
Candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply and we would particularly like to encourage nominations from LGBTQ+ families and single-parent families, who can bring skills, lived experience, energy and enthusiasm to our social mission.
We are also keen to attract candidates with skills and/or professional experience in the area of safeguarding.
NCT’s 2021 Trustee election is now open.
We’ve put together a comprehensive NCT Candidate Information Pack for potential trustees, as a guide to the process, including trustee role description, person specification and eligibility.
How to apply?
If you’re interested in standing for election as a trustee, please send an email to the Board Secretary address to request a Trustee Nomination Pack before 9 September 2021. A Nomination Pack will then be sent out to you.
Your completed Nomination Pack will need to be submitted by 24 September 2021.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of the nomination process or your application, we would be happy to help. You may also like to set up an informal and confidential discussion about the role with one of our current trustees or Senior Leadership Team. Please do get in touch via the Board Secretary email address.
Please see our Governance at NCT page for further information about all our trustees and committee members.
