In our newsletter
We are proud to welcome our new Newsletter Editor Alison who has taken on the role of creating our brand new information packed newsletters, and we would like to invite you to enhance your profile among local expectant and new parents by advertising in the Summer 2012 issue of our branch newsletter.
Our newsletter is distributed quarterly to our entire membership of over 50 supporters, and also via local GPs, Children's Centres and at our popular Nearly New Sales and Bumps and Babes coffee mornings.
Recent research has shown:
- 92% of our membership come from the ABC1 demographic
- 95% are either expectant mothers or mothers with children under five
- 97% trust us to provide accurate information about pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
There are a number of cost-effective options available to advertisers within our summer edition, which will be in the format of a 28-page, black and white A5 booklet.
Full page (A5 size) - £25.00
Half page - £20.00
Quarter page - £15.00
Artwork would preferably need to be supplied in jpg or pdf format. If you need any assistance with design then please let us know and our marketing team can create your advert for you at an additional cost.
Free of charge editorial is offered to all advertisers placing a full or half page and is an excellent way of supporting your advertisement and communicating with your audience. We are happy to write a few words for you or alternatively, please supply suitable copy alongside your advertisement. Please note that copy will be edited to ensure that it fits within NCT guidelines.
A reader offer is a great way of enticing new customers to buy your products and services at a reduced rate by offering a discount when quoting a promotional code. This can be incorporated into your editorial or advertisement if required.
A product giveaway is a great way of promoting your business at minimal cost. In return for a competition prize, NCT would offer 150-200 words of editorial plus a product image, logo, image and full contact information. The competition would also appear on NCT Glossop & District website and be promoted through the Facebook page which currently has 170 fans and reaches approximately 400 unique visitors per month.

On our website
We would love to advertise your business on our website if it is something that will be helpful to parents, e.g. an exercise class, a child friendly cafe or an organic produce shop etc. Your advertisement will be displayed on the "Local Business Directory" page. It will include your contact details, a link to your website if applicable, a short paragraph and a picture or a logo. We may also include more detailed information about your products or services on other pages if we think that it would be beneficial.
For this we ask for just £30 a year, which will help fund our branch enabling us to continue supporting parents in our community. Please contact us at email@example.com for more information or for a booking form.
Nearly New Sales
Each sale is attended by between 200 and 300 people, all of whom will be parents of babies and children under the age of five.
We can, by prior arrangement, promote your business by distributing flyers in bags to all shoppers attending the sale.
For this we charge a fee of £15 which will go to the NCT Glossop branch.
If you run a baby class - whether it's music, massage, baby sensory etc. we would love for you to come and demonstrate it at our Bumps and Babes Group on a Thursday morning. We ask for a £15 donation for a 45 minutes taster session, which would expect between 15 and 30 new mums to come to.
At our groups events
At our weekly Bumps and Babes group in Glossop we have a table displaying flyers for services and businesses in the local area. If you would like to add a flyer, card, leaflet etc. then we ask for a small donation of £10 a year.
We also frequently run seasonal events throughout the year. We can set aside space for a promotional stall or taster session, although please note this will depend on the health and safety requirements for individual venues. Please contact us for further information.
