Cafe scene

We all like to feel warmly welcomed when out and about in town with our little ones, especially breast-feeding mums. So we have asked our members and Facebook followers where they regularly drop in to, where service is always with a smile and where staff are happy to help - be it carrying our trays to the table or pointing out the warmest parts of the cafe for our babies...

N.B. These are opinions from our members and these are not official endorsements from NCT. Please check with each venue for opening hours and arrangements ahead of your visit to avoid disappointment.

The Food of Love, Henley Street, Stratford
"Too narrow for too many pushchairs at once, but love them in there. And locals can get a discount card for every purchase they make."   Debbie

Stratford Garden Centre, Campden Road, Clifford Chambers
"Great cafe and fish watching opportunities!"   Jenny

Morrisons Cafe, Alcester Road, Stratford
"Free food for kids after 3pm."   Vikki

The Caterpillar Cafe, Tyler House Hub, Tyler Street, Stratford
"Open every Friday. Suitable for babies to 6 year olds. Toys, tasty menu and lots of regular visits from lots of family-centred groups. No parking, but plenty of space for buggies. Not-for-profit!"   Emma

Coffee#1, Bard's Walk, Stratford
"The staff are welcoming and its on the level with plenty of space. The downside is there is only one loo."   Vikki

Susie’s Cafe Bar, The Other Place (RSC), Southern Lane, Stratford
"Sofas, space, nice cakes and roosting place after the NCT Buggy Walk every Tuesday."   Nina

The Swan Cafe, The Swan Theatre (RSC), Waterside, Stratford
"During the day when there isn't a play on it's lovely and quiet and they don't mind children having a bit of fun. Plus there is a baby changing room next to it. Plenty of space for prams."   Gemma

Boston Tea Party , St Gregory's Hall, Henley Street, Stratford
"Buggy space, a step free access, helpful staff (one got a high chair for me while I got my daughter out the pram), good kids menu especially the Build-your-own-Breakfast and I like that it doubles as a activity sheet, no drama when boob feeding in there and there’s a sink for customers that I use to refill her cups before we go."   Alex
