NCT Baby & Toddler First Aid Courses around Kensington and Chelsea
NCT recognise how important it is for parents to have basic first aid skills and the confidence to use them in an emergency. That’s why we have partnered with the First Aid for Life to offer you the chance to learn skills that could save your child's life.
Our Baby and Toddler First Aid course is designed to build your confidence as a parent or carer in dealing with emergency situations.
First Aid for Life are the leading supplier of exemplary First Aid Training in SW London. They are HSE and Ofqual Registered Organisation through Qualsafe Awards.
All of our Baby and Toddler First Aid courses are delivered by Medical and Emergency Services Professionals. Our trainers will ease any fears you have about providing first aid by giving you plenty of opportunity to practise techniques and ask questions.
The NCT Baby and Toddler First Aid courses are suitable for parents, expectant parents and carers of babies and young children.
- Loss of consciousness and CPR
- What to do in an emergency - priorities of treatment
- Head injuries
- What to put in a first aid kit and how to use it
The sessions are relaxed with plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout.
Our courses run for two hours on Saturdays, either from 10am to 12pm or 1pm to 3pm. Please bring with you a pen and notepad. You will receive a comprehensive Paediatric First Aid manual.
Our branch has hosted courses since November 2011 with great success and happy parents.
We suggest that you organise childcare for your little one so that you are able to give the course your full attention. However, if that is not possible, you may bring your baby to the course if they are under 6 months old. There is very limited buggy capacity.
A two-hour Baby and Toddler First Aid course is £45 pp. You can book online for a specific course, using a credit card.
Please note, we offer a discounted rate for:
- Under 18s
- Students (under 22 years of age), parents receiving income support, income- based job seekers allowance, council tax benefit, housing benefit, employment and support allowance or working tax credit
- Parents with a yearly household income of less than £15,000
If any of these circumstances apply to you, please contact our Baby First Aid Co-ordinator at KensingtonAndChelsea@nct.org.uk.
