The early months of motherhood can be quite a challenge - both practically and emotionally. This course is designed to give you knowledge and confidence to tackle the doubt all new mums struggle with to some extent.
Early Days (postnatal) course in Solihull for babies born in July to September - 6D/C2848
- NCT Courses and Covid-19
Until the end of January 2021 our courses are online. Currently, due to rising Covid-19 infection rates and official guidance for pregnant women, online is the only way we can safely and practically deliver local, fully interactive and inclusive courses – a decision supported by the Royal College of Midwives.
We know how much you value our in-person courses so we’re keeping our options open for courses from February 2021 onwards. Currently you can still book these as in-person classes but we’ll only bring people back together in venues once it is safe to do so. We’ll never put you, your baby or your family at risk.
Our Covid-19 Price Promise: If you book a course that is already being delivered online you’ll receive a 15% discount at the time of booking. If you book a course that is currently offered as in-person, we’ll give you back 15% of your course fee if we need to move it online to ensure your safety.
For parents in and around
Led by our expert course leader, the groups provide a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere to openly talk about your life as a mum.
In your group, you'll discuss practical skills in coping with your new baby. Importantly, the course will help give you the confidence to parent your baby in the way that is right for you and your family.
And after weekly get-togethers with the same group of new mums, you'll also come through with a new group of friends.
What you’ll learn
Each course is unique as they are designed to meet the specific needs of the group. But you can expect to cover:
- Information around infant sleeping.
- Managing and calming crying.
- Understanding a baby’s needs and how they communicate.
- Introducing solid foods.
- Child development.
- The impact of a baby on relationships.
