NCT Aberconwy & Colwyn GIVES PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH THE ‘BIG PUSH’

NCT Aberconwy & Colwyn is encouraging local residents to help give perinatal mental health difficulties the ‘Big Push’ by joining a family friendly [almost] 5km buggy push.
The Big Push event held at Llandudno promenade on Sunday 11th September will raise vital funds to support the many new parents who experience mental health issues around pregnancy.
Many new mothers and fathers often don’t receive the mental health support they need and this can have a devastating effect on the whole family.
The Big Push is a fun, family friendly, social way to get active outdoors while raising vital funds for a much needed cause. Whether you push a pram, slip on your sling or walk with your toddler in tow, NCT Aberconwy & Colwyn encourages all residents to join in the Big Push fun!
NCT's Big Push fundraising efforts will go directly to contributing to the promotion of positive mental health, breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, and supporting new parents access the help so many desperately need.

Our Big Push will start from Opposite Venue Cymru in Llandudno at 3pm on Sunday 11th October.
To register is £5 per adult or £8 per couple - and we ask that you aim to raise sponsorship of £10 per person.
Mums, dads, grandparents, extended family and friends are welcome to sign up, and you don't have to use a pram - do some babywearing, or toddle along with your little one.

NCT’s Big Push events build on its #beyondbabyblues campaign, which continues to raise awareness of perinatal mental health nationally and call for better mental health support services across the UK for new parents.
NCT Aberconwy & Colwyn is one of NCT’s network of over 300 branches across the UK. NCT branches offer events and activities for new parents, social connections with other new parents to learn from share experiences, and the opportunity to forge friendships to combat isolation.
