All new Bresst Friends Brentwood. New time and location!
Support is available on all aspects of breastfeeding and its impact on daily life – from starting to stopping and all the variations inbetween. If you are expecting, have just had your baby or would like support as your baby grows older pop in and have a drink and a chat. The group is free, open to all and no appointment is necessary.
In a relaxed, informal atmosphere you can:
- Chat to other mums with babies at a similar age or at a similar stage in their pregnancy.
- Get one-to-one help from trained volunteers
- Browse through our collection of breastfeeding books, leaflets and DVDs
- Enjoy some tasty refreshments
At least one volunteer peer supporter, sometimes more will be present at every Breast Friends session. All of our peer supporters are mums who have breastfed themselves, who live in the local community, and who want to help other mums through their breastfeeding experiences. The peer supporters are here to listen to you, provide information and offer support. We can also point you in the right direction if we are unable to assist.
We are fortunate to be in the same building as the Merrymeade Café where you can purchase hot drinks and food. It does not cost to attend the group but we are a charity and any small contributions towards our room hire costs are welcomed.
Parking is available outside the building on Merrymeade Chase. If there are no spaces there are plenty of pay and display bays on nearby Sawyers Hall Lane if you have your buggy with you. There is space for pushchairs inside. If you would like to speak to someone before you come the best place to contact us is by sending us a message on our Breast Friends Brentwood Facebook Page. Please keep in mind that the group is run by volunteers and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
