Existing Breastfeeding Peer Supporters and other mothers who are interested in training to offer breastfeeding support are invited to come along to this taster session organised by Enfield NCT to find out more about training to become an NCT Voluntary Breastfeeding Counsellor.
Like NCT Breastfeeding Counsellors, Voluntary Breastfeeding Counsellors (VBfCs) are women who have breastfed their own babies for six months or more. They follow a two-year training course focusing on developing a person-centred way of being and, when qualified, offer one-to-one breastfeeding support to parents and parents-to-be. VBfCs may work face-to-face, on the phone, by email or via social media.
The taster session will be facilitated by Kate Malik, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor and Tutor, and it is open to all women who are interested in finding out more about about this NCT training opportunity. You do not need to live in Enfield to come along! Please contact Joanna Brett on 0779 2002 098 to book a place.
Tea and coffee will be provided and more substantial refreshments can be purchased from the Library Cafe. Babes-in-arms are welcome but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate toddlers and older children on this occasion.
Enfield Town Library is located five minutes' walk from Enfield Chase and Enfield Town stations and is opposite Enfield bus station. There is no on-site parking but there are several car parks nearby.
