Riverside Branch NCT offers First Aid Workshops in conjunction with Emma Hammett of first Aid for Life. The workshop provides you with practical training and the chance to get ‘hands on’ so you have the skills and the confidence to know what to do in an emergency. Those who have already attended the workshop, report that they have enjoyed themselves tremendously and feel much more confident afterwards. One recent attendee commented "the hands-on elements with the manikins were great, particularly learning what to do if your baby is choking, realising how hard you need to push for CPR and learning the life and death importance of the recovery position. Everyone should know what to do in those first seconds if a cup of hot coffee spills on their baby." Designed so that you can book on as a group or as individuals, the three hour workshops are fun, informative and relaxed. You can attend either before or after your baby is born and babies are welcome to come with you up to the age of 3 months. For older babies we recommend that we arrange for childcare, so that you can get the most out of the session. Groups are a maximum number of 8. Emma Hammett is a qualified nurse, teacher and First Aider with over 20 years of healthcare experience in both the NHS and the corporate environment. Emma is a local mum of two.

Cost £60 per person (Discounts can apply if you would like to host the course at your home, arrange your own group of eight)
