Pregnancy is a time of enormous musculoskeletal, physical and emotional change. Doing Pilates during pregnancy can really help you remain healthy, fit and confident about your body. Pilates helps with the baby's positioning for birth, helps you avoid many of the aches and pains associated with pregnancy and prepares you for labour and delivery as well as with the demands of looking after a baby once they arrive! Regular exercise has a positive physiological impact on mums to be and Pilates has no known risk to the unborn baby or birth. It only has positive benefits! The babies of mothers who exercise regularly during pregnancy tend to be more alert and easier to care for!
Just check with your doctor or midwife first that you are ok to do Pilates and come along to Its a Kids Thing, 279 Magdalen Rd, London SW18 3NZ for a 40 minute taster class on Monday 15th September at either 2.30 or 3.20pm to see how it can benefit you! And after the class get to know other 'mums to be' over a FREE coffee and piece of cake!
