Over 50% of parents with children under 5 years will experience loneliness. Parents on the lowest income twice as likely to say that they often feel isolated from other parents. You could help us fund new service to help reach those parents most in need, because parenting shouldn’t be lonely.
The first two years of a child’s life are critical - they develop physically and emotionally more rapidly during this time than any other point in their life. Becoming a parent is a life-changing experience and everyone wants to do the best they can do. We have a solid history of developing new services to reach parents in need, like Birth & Beyond Peer Supporters.
We want every parent to get the support they need to be the parent they want to be. Your donation could help us continue to develop a new service to reach new parent sin some of the most deprived communities in the UK.
How can you make a difference?
To truly make a difference where it’s needed, we want to launch a new service to support parents. But we need your help!
As the UK’s leading charity for parents, we’ve been supporting parents for over 60 years. Over the last year we have been diving deep into understanding better what parents need and when. We know how important those first weeks, months and years are in to building parent confidence and their child’s wellbeing.
Led by our local volunteer parents, the new service will be a relaxed and flexible parent and baby group.
Based in areas identified where parents face a higher risk of isolation and hardship, each session will have an NCT teacher on hand to provide evidence-based information and caring support.
Mums and dads will have the chance to meet other parents from their area and form vital new support networks. No parent should feel alone.
By attending one or all of the weekly topic-based sessions, parents will gain trusted information to support them on their parenting journey.
But we can’t do this without your help.
Your donation could help us reach more parents with Baby & Me. Help make the difference to new parents when they need it most. Donate today.
