We hold sales of good quality 'nearly new' baby and children's wear, and nursery equipment in the Spring and Autumn.
Great bargains can be found at our sales and NCT members get in before the public for first picks! Our branch holds some of the biggest and most successful Nearly New Sales in the country - there are often 5000 items or more on sale, so it really is well worth a visit.

More about Nearly New Sales
Nearly New Sales in North Hertfordshire are very popular, so only a limited number of sellers can sell at each Nearly New Sale to ensure we have sufficient space to display everything. If you would like to register as a seller, follow the link above as soon as possible. We often have more people wanting to sell than we have space for, therefore it is best to get in as soon as possible once registration opens! We do operate a waiting list in case anyone drops out.
Our sales are ticketed, which in contrast to a table top sale, means you do not need to be present at the sale to sell. You can sell up to 60 items per sale - see the Nearly New Sale Guidelines (coming soon) for what can and can't be sold. You decide the price of each item, which must be a multiple of 50p, and label up your items using the labels provided, as detailed in the Guidelines. You must then drop all of the labelled and boxed items at The Priory School on the Saturday before the sale, where it is sorted and prepared for sale by our team of amazing volunteers.
NCT gets 30% of everything you sell, you get back 70% minus the seller's pack price of £5 (the £5 covers labels, postage, disclaimer form). We use an online registration system which will allow us to pay you after the sale directly into your bank account. Payment can take up to 3 weeks after the sale (however we aim to be quicker). Please note that registration is in two parts; follow the link, fill in your details, submit and you will receive a second link by email to pay online for your tickets. Unsold items must be collected by you after the sale by 5.45pm. We will not be accepting post sale donations.
Fancy getting the pick of the bargains?
Volunteer to help at the sale for at least 2 hours, and you can buy before the sale opens. We need helpers on the Saturday morning before the sale to help set up, as well as the rest of the day to assist in running the sale, and clearing up afterwards. You do not need to be an NCT member to volunteer. Register to volunteer and grab the best bargains!
