Durham NCT is ran entirely by volunteers, without volunteers we would be unable to support local parents with our Parent and baby groups and Nearly new sales. In addition to helping other local parents, volunteering for the NCT has great benefits for you including joining a new network of friends, peer support from across the country and the opportunity to acquire new skills and experience.

Walk and Talk Group Leader

Our two current Walk and Talk group leaders are looking to move onto new things, so we are looking to recruit a group leader(s).

The role would suit someone with a young (non-walking) child or someone who can attend without their little one. As group leader each week you would set up the walk on our ticketing systems, welcome parents to the session and lead the walk. Walks take place every Thursday morning at various venues around the County Durham area, which can be adapted to suit the new leader's circumstances. Volunteering as a group leader is a great way to meet other parents and develop your leadership skills, full training will be given. This role is particularly suited to be shared by two or three volunteers if you're unable to offer a weekly commitment.

If you would like any further information on this role or any other roles please contact the branch.
