Winchester NCT is there to support all expectant and new parents whether you're a member or not. All the people listed are volunteers, so please be considerate when contacting them.
Support and friendship from other parents
This is one of the most vital and thriving aspects of the NCT’s work. Many new mothers (and fathers) have no family or friends with children living locally, and have had little contact with babies before having their own: the companionship of other parents is invaluable.
Bumps & Babies Coffee Mornings
The group sessions at Theatre Royal, Jewry street in Winchester usually run every Monday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 pm, except bank holidays and matinée show dates. Click here for more information.
COVID-19 update: In line with current advice about Coronavirus our face to face groups and activities are cancelled until further notice. Please see below for information about online groups and support and follow our Facebook page for updates
Andover Bumps, Babies and Beyond
Bumps and Babies group in Andover is held at Spring Meadows Children's Centre, Smannel Road, Fridays 1pm - 2:30pm (term time only)
Tea dates are meet-ups in members’ houses, in areas outside of Winchester, and give local mums to those towns and villages contact with and support from others nearby.
Kings Worthy's tea dates are very popular. If you’d like to join them, please contact Branch.Winchester@nct.org.uk.
If you’d like to start one up in any other area of the district, and to have help to get the ball rolling with other members, please contact Branch.Winchester@nct.org.uk.
Working Mothers’ Group
This is a support group for mothers in paid work. The group has a monthly meeting or social event. Contact Lisa on email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Winchester Twins Club
Although not affiliated with NCT, the Winchester Twins Club is the local group for parents (or parents to be) of twins and multiples. There is a drop in group on the first Tuesday of the month at Lantern's Children's Centre, Bereweeke Road, Winchester. For more information, contact the Winchester Twins Club Facebok page.
If you're finding the daily grind of parenthood a little bit - dare we say it - samey, and want to do something that exercises your brain, or revives a workplace skill, then why not volunteer? You can spend as much or as little time as you want, and there are always lots of opportunities. See our Volunteers page for more information or contact Branch.Winchester@nct.org.uk.
