The sale is a great place to buy all kinds of good quality, nearly new items needed for pregnancy and beyond.
The sale allows our branch to help parents to find the things they need for their children without breaking the bank, while at the same time funding the support activities we run for parents throughout the year. You do not need to be an NCT member to attend as a buyer, help at or sell at a Nearly New Sale and you do not have to sell to help out.

The last sale
The previous sale on 6th October 2019 was a huge success with both buyers and sellers. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the sale a success.
How does the sale work?
Entry is from 11.00am and admission to the sale is a minimum £1 donation per adult. The sale will close promptly at 12.30pm. As the last sale was very busy it would be helpful if young children were brought in slings or backpacks but you are able to bring prams or buggies into the sale if there is no alternative. We will have a very limited area for buggy parking, although no liability will be taken for their security.
What can you find at the sale?
- Children's clothing from birth to 5 years
- Maternity clothing
- Children’s toys
- Nursery essentials such as furniture and bedding and stair gates
- Children's books and parenting books
- Children's DVDs
Check our Facebook page for regular updates to see a sample of what sellers are offering.
How do I sell at the sale?
The nearly new sale will use a ticketed format. Registration to sell is via an online form and payment of a fee.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DIFFERENT FORMAT FROM SOME PREVIOUS SALES.
The seller guide contains all the information you require about the sale and about what you can and cannot sell, timetable for the day and also forms our terms and conditions. A copy of the guide will be sent when you register, or can be requested in advance from NNS.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please remember everyone involved with organising the sale and registering you is a volunteer - please respect them and the significant amount of time they give for free by reading the guide to see if it answers your question before emailing.
How do I help at the sale?
You don't have to be an NCT member or be selling to help out. If you wish to help, just email NNS.email@example.com. Remember that you get entry to the preview sale to shop!
There are a variety of times when you can help both on sale day and at other times. We are always short of volunteers on the day and short of people and cars to move equipment.
Any other questions
Read our frequently asked questions guide here. If you have any other general questions about our sales, if you are interested in becoming more involved with the sale organisation or would like to become a sale supervisor, please email NNS.firstname.lastname@example.org for more details. Don't forget that you can also volunteer to help at other branch events throughout the year.
