South London Sling Library is an independent, mum-run service providing expert sling and baby carrier information, demos, classes and hire. They provide helpful, impartial and knowledgeable carrying advice for all parents and carers, from bump to toddler and beyond. It operates from 194 Beckenham Road (side entrance) BR3 4RJ, but please check the calendar before travelling. Many other London sling libraries and Consultants are listed at Slinging London.
Car Seat Centre
Bromley Car Seat Centre offers free advice on correct use and fitting of all child car seats. Baby Baby, 34 High Street, West Wickham BR4 0NJ also provide this service.

Mindful Mums run free 5 week courses for groups of women to learn how to stay resilient and emotionally well, develop confidence and social connections during pregnancy and in the first year of birth. Groups take place at Children's Centres across Bromley. Crèche facilities are available but need to be pre-booked; young babies can be brought into sessions with support from a Support Worker available. The Peace Outreach Service supports mothers of children under 16 with mental health problems such as severe depression, bipolar, personality disorders or schizophrenia, to better manage the demands of both parenthood and mental health; it operates independently of statutory mental health, social services or children and family services and caters for women living in Bromley borough.
Real Nappies for London is a great source of information. Lewisham Real Nappy Network and Croydon Real Nappy Network are volunteer organisations hosting information sessions, a nappy library and occasional voucher schemes; you can also donate your reusable nappies once you have finished with them.
