Elizabeth Duff, Senior Policy Adviser
Elizabeth Duff has been Senior Policy Adviser at NCT since 2009. Elizabeth’s portfolio covers a wide range of issues affecting parents during the First 1,000 Days, from childcare provisions to maternity pay. Elizabeth is an experienced public speaker, championing the needs of parents at a national and international level. Previously she worked in journalism and communications, as well as chairing the Camden Community Health Council and being vice-chair of Camden & Islington Maternity Services Liaison Committee. Elizabeth writes regular contributions in Midwifery: an international journal and is on the editorial board of the MIDIRS Midwifery Digest.
Rosie Dodds, Senior Policy Adviser
Rosie Dodds is a Senior Policy Adviser at NCT. Rosie focuses on pregnancy and infant nutrition, baby feeding, sleeping and other baby care issues in the First 1,000 Days. Rosie is trained Nutrition and Dietetics and has a background in research. She has also spent many years campaigning on various international justice and environmental issues in her spare time. The birth of her first child in 1988 led Rosie to join the NCT and train as a breastfeeding counsellor in the early 1990s. She works part-time and continues as a breastfeeding counsellor in Essex.
Abigail Wood, Public Affairs Manager
Abigail has managed NCT’s Public Affairs since 2013. Prior to that she coordinated the lobbying work on child poverty in the UK, at Save the Children and lead the campaign on body image at Girlguiding. Earlier on in her career she worked for an MP and in the European Parliament.
Outside of work she is a Camden councillor, a school governor and sits on the executive of the Fabian Women’s Network. She has a BA in Politics from Durham University and an MSc in Government, Policy and Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
