The NCT is the UK’s largest parenting charity. We have recently reformed the North Somerset branch committee. Our aim is to support parents in our area by providing a chance to meet other parents along with providing accurate and practical information through our antenatal classes.
We plan to do this by offering groups for parents to attend with their babies or young children, parent information workshops and social events. We also aim to have at least one Nearly New Sale a year so parents can buy good quality, second hand baby goods.
Getting involved with the NCT on a local level is a fantastic way to make new friends, have fun, whilst offering a support network for other new parents and parents to be.
There is a number of volunteering roles that still need to be filled, so if you think you can help out, whether it is for a defined role or just once in a while as a branch supporter, then we would love to hear from you!

North Somerset Facebook Page Advertising statement.
Our Facebook page is intended for parents interested in their local branch, activities such as Bumps and Babies groups and nights out, events such as our Nearly New Sales and campaigns in and around North Somerset.
Our branch team have made the decision to keep this page free from any advertising of businesses and profit making organisations. We would ask that no adverts are placed on the wall and the moderation team will remove any notices to this effect. The branch remains committed to supporting all local parents (we are local volunteer parents ourselves!) and providing them with unbiased local information relating to the NCT and its activities. We hope this policy also ensure your news feed is not clogged up with unsolicited marketing.
Sometimes the media or other organisations contact us wanting to get in touch with local parents. Please contact a moderator first before trying to post on the group as all enquiries of this nature need Head Office approval before the branch can do anything with them.
If anyone is unsure – please just contact one of us first! Many thanks all for your understanding.
