It's never too early to be thinking about making friends and seeking support from our various local activities and services. You do not need to be a NCT member or have attended a NCT course.
Check out some tips from local parents who've been there, done that and got the stained t-shirt...
•We support Mindful Mums, who run free 5-week courses for groups of women to learn how to stay resilient and emotionally well, develop confidence and social connections during pregnancy and in the first year after birth. Mothers with mental health problems such as severe depression, bipolar, personality disorders or schizophrenia could contact the independent Peace Outreach Service
•NCT run Introducing Solid Foods Workshops to help you make decisions about weaning your baby
•We support Croydon Brighter Beginnings, a Baby Bundles project, collecting donated maternity and baby goods to distribute to families in need
•South London Sling Library is an independent, mum-run service providing expert sling and baby carrier information, demos, classes and hire. They provide helpful, impartial and knowledgeable carrying advice for all parents and carers, from bump to toddler and beyond. It operates from 194 Beckenham Road (side entrance) BR3 4RJ, but please check the calendar before travelling
