The PSA Link role is currently vacant.
The PSA Link must be an NCT member. There must be a link between the team and the local Parent Services Administrator (PSA). This linking role may be carried out either by the Membership Coordinator or the Parent Support Coordinator, or (if there are more than four roles on the team) by another team member. All volunteers are covered by the conditions of the Volunteer Policy & Charter.
The PSA Link is an important and interesting role for a branch volunteer to help ensure that parents-to-be and new parents who enquire about and book on to NCT antenatal, early days or short breastfeeding courses are also linked with their branch at the earliest opportunity so they can access the branch support and social network and other services such as NCT Nearly New Sales.
The PSA Link is:
- the main contact point for the local Parents Services Administrator (PSA);
- linked with other branch team members in order to provide branch materials, publicity flyers etc to the PSA for enquiry packs.
A successful PSA Link knows about branch activities and helps the PSA promote these effectively to enquirers and class bookers.
The assumption is that this role is taken on in addition to another team role, therefore the volunteer would already have the knowledge of what is happening in the branch. Regular communication with the PSA would then take approximately 15 minutes a month. The quarterly review meetings would take an additional 2 hours per quarter.
