What is a Postnatal Tea Group?
A postnatal tea group is an initiative to facilitate parents with similar age babies who live near to each other to meet in a friendly and relaxed setting. We set up the first 'tea' meet at a local venue with a small number of parents (<6 parents in each group) and then we help arrange and support a few more meetings after that by which time the group know each other well enough and have made connections with each other to head off on their own to form a lovely parent/friend support group!
How do I find out when and where the next Tea Group is meeting?
Please email our Branch Coordinator, Tamsin (email@example.com) for more details about the Tea Group schedule, where you can arrange to meet up with other parents at similar age to your child. She can answer any other more specific questions you might have also about the group.
Where do Tea Groups meet?
At first your NCT contact will arrange the meetings at a local cafe (past venues include The Point in Eastleigh) and then after a few meet-ups you will be encouraged to arrange your own meet-ups as a group.
How do I know who the Tea Group is at my first meet?
Your NCT contact will be at the arranged venue early, wearing an NCT t-shirt and they will carry out introductions for everyone and welcome you all to the Tea Group. They will also have details of what Eastleigh and District NCT branch have on offer for you as a local parent, including all of the services and local groups we offer.
