Whatever sort of mum or dad you want to be, NCT, the UK’s largest charity for parents, is with you every step of the way. It’s the place to come for free trusted information and emotional and practical support, and you don’t have to be an NCT member or attend an antenatal course to benefit from the charity’s wealth of expertise.

Whether you’ve already told your family and friends, or are keeping the exciting news to yourself, you’re bound to have questions about pregnancy, birth and what to expect in the early days with a new baby. NCT’s Pregnancy & Baby is your week-by-week email guide packed with all the information and answers you need to help you through pregnancy to early parenthood.

Parents-to-be can register on our website, and we’ll send regular emails tailored to each stage of your pregnancy and up until your baby is two-years-old. Each email covers a range of topics, from antenatal tests to eating and drinking during pregnancy, baby feeding to weaning.

Our online info centre is the place to go for answers to all those burning questions and trusted information on a wide range of topics, based on evidence research and free from commercial pressures. NCT’s website is also the gateway to our active community of local branches, so new and expectant parents can find out about NCT events happening on their doorsteps, get involved and meet other local families.

Sally Horrox, Director of Corporate Communications at NCT, says: “Becoming a mum or dad is a major life change, and we want to reach all parents and ensure your family gets the best start. NCT provides free and low cost services, available to everyone. So start your journey to becoming a parent with a visit to www.nct.org.uk – it’s your one-stop shop for trusted information and emotional and practical support.”

NCT is there to support all parents wherever they are in the UK, and even when they’re out and about, with the help of our free iPhone app NCT Babychange. Our award-winning app enables parents to find their nearest baby changing facility, add new facilities in their area and rate them to help other parents.

Sometimes you need a friendly and experienced listening ear, and through our national helpline – 0300 330 0700 – NCT is there for mums and dads when they need us most. For the cost of a local call from landlines, parents can speak to one of our trained NCT practitioners about all aspects of pregnancy, birth, feeding and early parenting. Our helpline also provides the opportunity to discuss a difficult experience with someone who shares the same experience. So call NCT with any questions or concerns, and pass on the word to other parents too.
