NCT has appointed a new Chief Executive

NCT, the UK’s largest charity for parents, has appointed Nick Wilkie as its new Chief Executive.

Nick will join NCT from Save the Children in July to take up his new leadership role. He brings with him over 17 years’ experience building pioneering strategies and strong institutions across the charity sector, including six years as Chief Executive at London Youth and five years leading sustainable funding at NCVO.

Beryl Hobson, Chair, NCT, said:

“NCT has been providing essential support to new parents for over fifty years. With each generation, the services we provide have adapted and evolved and the charity has grown in size and influence.

“I am delighted to welcome Nick as NCT’s new Chief Executive to lead the charity in the next phase of our development.  Nick has an impressive track record of making a difference for families, and the Board is looking forward to working with him to expand our work in supporting every parent across the UK.”

Nick Wilkie said:

“I am honoured and delighted to be asked to join NCT. This is an extraordinary organisation with an outstanding history and even greater potential. Driven by the principle that no family should be left behind, I am looking forward to working with everyone at NCT and our partners as we seek to ensure every parent is supported through the all-important first thousand days.”

Nick succeeds Interim Chief Executive Susie Parsons who will continue in the post until Nick joins in July 2015.
