Have you had great support from a special volunteer at your local NCT branch? The UK’s largest charity for parents, is inviting anyone who has benefited from support or services through their local branch network to nominate an NCT volunteer for a prestigious award.
The annual NCT Stars Awards, sponsored by Pampers, recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the volunteers who make services available to parents and parents-to-be across the UK.
NCT has over 10,000 volunteers who give their time, energy and skills in more than 300 local branch teams. They could be leading their local branch or region, running Nearly New Sales, campaigning to improve local maternity services or taking on a host of other roles.
Nominations are open from Friday 27 January, and the closing date is Friday 2 March.

The award categories are:
1. Most Supportive Volunteer
2. Most Innovative Volunteer
3. User Rep of the Year
4. Parents’ champion of the Year
5. Fundraising Success of the Year
Regional winners will be announced in each UK region during Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June 2012), and national finalists will be invited to a special event at the House of Lords on 31 October 2012.
Sue Saxey, President of NCT and a long-standing volunteer herself, said: “NCT volunteers make a fantastic contribution to the charity’s work, supporting parents and parents-to-be who are at an incredibly important time in their lives. So, if there’s an NCT volunteer in your local area who has made an impact on you or your community, make their day and nominate them for an NCT Stars Award today!”
