Diversity and access
Pregnancy and the early months with a new baby are times when parents have questions and need support and encouragement from friends, family and professionals. NCT provides a range of services directly to parents and trains health care professionals working with parents.
We have experience of working with the NHS, Sure Start and community groups to deliver projects under contract and to provide consultation and practical training. Our parent-centred approach is particularly helpful in engaging hard-to-reach groups and we have developed a wide range of skills through our partnerships with local organisations and courses tailored to parents’ needs, including minority ethnic families, refugees and asylum seekers and young parents.
Here you will find some examples of innovative and responsive services including good practice case studies and articles about NCT's work.
Also included are articles written about other organisations and healthcare providers who are actively engaged in supporting diverse groups of parents from pregnancy through to parenthood.
