If you support the NCT and want to make a difference for other parents, why not think about volunteering for us?
You can get involved as much or as little as you like, depending on the time you have available and your other commitments and inclination.
Becoming a volunteer is a great way to meet other people, particularly other parents in the area, have fun and learn new skills.
There's a core group of 8 volunteers at the moment, all of us young Mums who live Kensington & Chelsea and we meet up regularly to plan new fun events (over cocktails usually!)
Why, what, and how?
Because you’ll make new friends, have fun, and learn new skills all at the same time. You'll be a part of creating fun events and services for parents across Kensington & Chelsea.
There’s something to interest everyone! The tasks range from helping at a Nearly New Sale or delivering a branch newsletter, to keeping the local membership database, planning and organising fundraising events, computer based book-keeping, representing the NCT on outside bodies, evaluating research, writing articles, editing newsletters … there's so many things to do!
Administration, marketing, IT, budgets, coordination, events management, campaigning, research, training – in fact everything you’ve done before can be adapted. Or, you can learn a new skill that will be useful for your CV in the future.
How much time?
As little, or as much, as you want. Tasks can always be broken down and shared between friends or others in the team.
Please get in contact with us via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org, and let us know that you'd like to be involved!
We're currently looking for certain positions in particular (but casual help is also appreciated!)
