Your branch

We are very active in the local area (primarily covering Balham, Battersea, Between the Commons, Clapham & Northcote Road) and have a branch membership of over 1800 people, although our services and activities are available to all.  

For expectant parents we: run antenatal courses; and host regular antenatal welcome evenings.

For new parents we: run five weekly baby and toddler groups; host weekly walks on the Commons, offer a weekly breastfeeding drop-in; host monthly postnatal teas; and open houses, run early days postnatal courses and weaning workshops; and publish a postnatal directory.

For all parents we: organise regular First Aid workshops; offer refresher antenatal classes; publish a quarterly branch magazine, Special Delivery; organise three NCT Nearly New Sales a year; send a monthly email newsletter; offer various support groups; as well as organising regular social and information events.

The branch is run solely by volunteers and we are always looking for extra pairs of hands.  The branch team meets on a monthly basis to socialise and oversee branch activities.  Most of us are parents to young children ourselves and enjoy giving a little of our time to ensure that all local families have access to the enormous resources offered by the NCT.  Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and we have roles suitable for all time commitments and interests, so please do get in touch.
