We are a small branch led by parent volunteers who aim to offer local parents and parents-to-be invaluable support, services and NCT events, to help them get the most out of their new roles. By contacting your local NCT Branch you will find out about:

• Support networks for parents - NCT Branches support you before, during and after your baby arrives; Whether or not you attend NCT antenatal or postnatal courses in your area, there'll be NCT volunteers who offer you opportunities to meet up and make friends and share experiences at coffee mornings, bumps and babies sessions and other support groups.
• NCT Nearly New Sales -the cost of kitting out your baby or toddler can run into thousands. NCT Nearly New Sales are the perfect solution - top-quality baby and children's clothes and equipment at bargain prices straight from their loving owners.
• NCT volunteering opportunities - have fun helping with NCT branch activities, use your skills to support local parents and meet new people from your community.
• Local NCT social and fundraising events - giving you the chance to meet other parents while supporting your local branch and the wider NCT

Branches are the local FACE of NCT - "Fun, Accessible, Caring and Encouraging" - They aim to reflect these values in their local community, so do join in!

What can the branch offer you?

Antenatal Classes:

Are now available both in Lichfield and Tamworth. A fantatsic opportunity to get information and advice, meet other parents due to have babies around the same time as you. The classes cover preparation for labour and birth, feeding, and early parenthood. Depending on your circumstances, you could book a programme of antenatal classes for as little at £10- please enquire in confidence about out consessions rates. We offer  numerous course formats to suit your needs (week nights, weekends, short format, women only sessions etc).

Bumps and Babies - Lichfield

***Special Event*** Photographer Imaging Eye will be taking photographs of your little angels, delivered in time for Christmas from 1.00pm on Friday 25th Novemeber 2011.

Every Friday 1.00-3.00pm, Saxon Hill Children's Centre, Kings Hill Road Lichfield, WS14 9DE (next to King Edwards School)

We always welcome help with the running of these sessions.  The role requires regular attendance, putting out toys and helping with refreshments. If you and a few friends are interested please do let us know.

We meet between 1pm - 3pm.  There is a small charge of £2 per family and we provide refreshments and a range of toys.   Bumps and Babies is for expectant and new mums with babies/toddlers under 2 (toddlers will need supervising!)   Whether you are a parent-to-be or a brand new parent finding your feet, we look forward to seeing you there!

Bumps and Babies - Tamworth

***Special Event*** A Time To Kiln- Pottering Painting will be joining us on Thursday 8th December. Fantastic gifts for all the family, hand print mugs, plates, baubles etc. Great prices and delivered in time for Christmas too!

Every Thursday 1.00-3.00pm at St Paul's Church, Dosthill, Tamworth. B77 1LU. We are in the small Norman Chapel just inside the Churchyard gates follow the path to the right! 

A small charge of £2.00 per family is applicable.
 
Expectant and new mums welcome. Activity toys and mats for babies provided. A great place to share stories, gain advice and meet new friends. Refreshments provided.

Again we always need extra support in helping to run these sessions so if you feel you may be suitable please do get in touch or speak to one of the organisers.

Social Nights Out:

Our next social events will be our Chistmas meal at the Whittington Arms, near Lichfield. Date TBC shortly. Come along and join in the festvities- book the babysitter today!
 

Nearly New Sales:

Our Nearly New Sales run reguarly throughout the year, They always prove very popular! Fantastic bargains are to be had on top quality baby equipment, toys and clothes etc.

Our eagarly anticipated Pre-Christmas Toy and Clothes sale takes place this weekend- SATURDAY 19th NOVEMEMBER!

Doors open to members at 10.15am (don't forget your membership card!) and to non-members at 10.30am and will close at 12.30pm.

The sale will be held at Boley Park Community Centre, Lichfield, WS14 9XU.

Our next sale will be in the Spring.

Baby / Child First Aid Training:

This took place on March and again in June and was full. We now have a waiting list and will put on additional sessions if we receive enough interest. The session covered baby and child ressusitation and choking and we do have the option to do other sessions in basic household firstaid  breaks, bandages, burns etc.

Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party:

Thank you to everyone who came to our first Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party!  It was great to see so many of you. We raised around £100 which will go to support the NCT Postnatal Line Our next event will be in the Summer 2012.

Mum's Night In- Pamper Evening:

Following the huge success of our last Pamper Evening we are in the process of planning our next event. To include treatments and some other lovely stalls and products perfect for treating yourself- you know you deserve it! Dates and more information to follow in the New Year! Don't miss out!

Dad's Event:

We can't miss you Guys out!! In the Summer we offered Dad's in the area the chance to spend some quality time with their little ones. We facilitated a 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' themed morning of fun and frolicks! Including sensory activites perfect for the little ones. The feedback we recieved was fantastic and as a result of this and the kind funding we recieved from the Round Table we will be running another event in the New Year. Dates and information to follow!
