The branch is run by local volunteer parents for other parents and parents to be. We offer a range of support and activities and look forward to meeting you. Southampton NCT covers the postcodes SO14-SO19, SO30 & SO31.

Courses

Our antenatal classes are ideal for first time parents and are a great way to meet other new parents and get the information you need to make informed choices about pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood.  Groups are organised so that you will be with others due to have their baby around the same time.

Nearly New Sales

Our next Nearly New Sale will be on Saturday 17th March 2012 at Taunton's College, Hill Lane, Southampton SO15 5RL.

We hold two Nearly New Sales a year (Spring & Autumn) selling good quality second hand baby and children's clothes, toys, equipment and maternity wear. Our sales have recently been awarded the Gold Standard for being amongst the Top 20 in the country, so come along and find out why.

If you are a NCT member, you will get to enter our sales 15 minutes before non-members.

 Branch Services

Getting the right support and information in the first few days after giving birth can help get breastfeeding off to a good start.  Southampton NCT branch have two qualified breastfeeding counsellors who you can talk to on the phone or come to see at the weekly Breastfeeding Drop-In session.

Our other services include Breast Pump hire, Valley Cushion hire and nursing bra-fittings.

Social Groups & Events

Southampton NCT branch runs a number of different social groups which may be of interest to you. Our activities are open to both NCT members and non-members, mums, dads and other carers and will offer you opportunities to meet up and make friends and share experiences at coffee mornings, bumps and babies sessions and other support groups.

We also run regular one-off events, so keep an eye on our Events information.

Keeping in Touch

We publish a quarterly newsletter which is sent to all local members, we email a monthly eUpdate bulletin to local parents and have a group on Facebook.

Volunteers, parents and expectant parents just like you, run our branch. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, make friends and represent the NCT. You don’t need to take on huge tasks, just commit whatever time you can - whatever your previous experience, it is almost certainly useful to the branch.
