Welcome 

Most of us at the St Albans branch became involved after we ourselves were helped by the NCT. Like all NCT branches, this branch is run and supported solely by volunteers.  

The NCT offers a range of support services for parents. We are most known for our antenatal courses and breastfeeding counselling, but we also run postnatal courses to help parents to adjust to their new roles.

Other parents can be a great support, especially for those without nearby family.  We provide many opportunities to meet other parents, including the weekly Bumps & Babies sessions, social events such as the Strawberry Tea, Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party and Christmas Party, and regular coffee mornings in your area of St Albans. We also have an active eGroup and a Facebook page where you can ask questions and keep in touch with local parents.

At our bi-annual Nearly New Sales, you can pick up good quality baby clothes and equipment, or sell on items your little one has grown out of. It takes a large number of people to help these sales run smoothly, so do consider volunteering to help out.

If you are new to parenthood, or new to the area, then contact our parent support coordinator, Geraldine Gardner.  She will put you in touch with your local Neighbourhood Orgainser who will send you details of local coffee mornings. You may be pregnant or have already had your baby.
