Being a parent is the most important job on earth, but we all know it can be challenging at times. With the help of our incredible volunteers, our local NCT communities help you to combat loneliness, make new friends, share stories and information, and most importantly, have fun with your baby.
"Once Mark went back to work, I felt incredibly lonely. I had a crying baby and was very, very tired. I almost lost sight of who I was. My confidence was low. A friend told me about NCT’s new mums coffee morning. It took a bit of courage, and a lot of make-up, but I found myself walking into a café of mums with babes in arms like me. The volunteer was super welcoming and kind. Before too long I was hearing stories that sounded so familiar it made me laugh. I realised, I was not alone."
Local parent and baby meet-ups and groups
Bumps and Babies
Bumps and Babies groups are a fun and friendly way to meet other local parents and parents to be. Some of our groups also welcome toddlers and older children.
Walk & Talk
Walk & Talk groups meet outside and are a great way to enjoy some fresh air while meeting other local parents in your area.
Meet-ups
NCT meet-ups tend to be informal and a chance to meet other local parents in a cafe or similar.
