Accessing local support services can make all the difference to your feeding journey.

NCT Kent Infant Feeding Peer Support offers friendly, non-judgmental, free, infant feeding support, for parents during pregnancy through to the early stages of parenthood, run by parents who understand the challenges it can bring.

Our trained peer supporters, with their own experiences, are committed to making sure parents feel supported and connected, during pregnancy and throughout those initial early weeks of parenthood. It’s also a great way to meet other parents going through similar experiences. We’re here to welcome you into our community.

Our groups will be starting in January 2026. Connect with us on our social media channels below to be kept updated of where you will find us:

How can I become a volunteer with NCT Kent Infant Feeding Support?

The key to the success of the service will be the local parents who have the passion, skill, and commitment to train as a peer supporter and volunteer in their local community supporting other parents.

The training is Open College Network (OCN) accredited Level 2 training (3 credits) and will enable the volunteers to:

  • Actively listen to the mother and offer encouragement, support, information, and ideas without giving advice.
  • Provide support to women both one to one and in the community setting e.g. local community groups.
  • Offer local support options that can offer support and signposting women to them.

If this sounds like something you’d like to get involved with, please fill out the expression of interest form and we will contact you to arrange a time to talk to you to tell you more.
