Why share your story with NCT

At NCT, we know that when it comes to pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, no two journeys look the same, and a lot of realities go unspoken.

Listening to parents helps to shape our work and services, guide our campaigns, influence policy, and make sure that what we do truly reflects what parents are experiencing and need.

If you feel able to share, we’re here to listen. Your story might help another parent feel less alone, encourage someone to get involved, or add weight to our work for better support for new and expectant parents.

You decide what to share and where your story appears.

Where your story could be shared

Your real experiences, shared through our channels raises awareness of the issues parents face, can make a meaningful difference for other families. This could be shared:

  • as an Instagram post
  • as a case study in our Annual Report
  • as part of marketing and membership communications
  • more widely through press releases and media interviews.

How to get in touch

You can submit a written testimonial or choose to speak with a member of our team.

Whichever you'd prefer, the first step is to email stories@nct.org.uk with your name and a brief outline of your experience, and to complete the Consent Form.

Our team will then be in touch via email to discuss how and where your story is told.

By completing this form, you give us permission to use your story, images and videos in our communications for the next three years.

If you need extra support

Our parent content article on Traumatic birth and PTSD can help direct you to useful content or organisations who support with birth trauma.

We understand that feeding your baby or babies in the first days, weeks and months can come with challenges, and reflecting on these experiences may have been difficult. Our infant feeding line is available to support you - more information is available on our dedicated page.
