Sling Library

Where and When:

Malvern Hills NCT Sling library runs drop in sessions once a month at the Happy Hills playgroup 10:00 -11:30 in the Theatre at the Cube. There is no need to book, but this is subject to volunteer availability so please check on Facebook before coming. 

How we can help:

There are so many slings on the market and shopping for one online can seem so overwhelming! Are you wanting to be able try on a variety and chat to some experienced baby wearers? We can help!

Sling wearing is very unique and personal so we are here to help demonstrate a wide range of slings, share information and support you to find the best option for yourself. We are not expert advisors and therefore cannot offer fit checks of slings that we do not stock, or tell you which sling is right for you. We can only demonstrate slings owned by our branch as we know these meet our high safety standards. If you would like help beyond this scope you may find local expert help by visiting Carrying Matters. If you have a baby with low birth weight or a medical condition you will need to seek medical advice before using a sling. 

Hires:

We have 17 different slings to hire including buckle carriers, meh dai, ring slings and stretch wraps. Each have different suitability for age and weight of your child so please ensure you know their weight before attending. Hire is roughly for a 4 week period and the sling should be returned to drop box in the week before the next playgroup. Hiring a buckle carrier costs £10, and a stretchy wrap £5. Payment is accepted on the day via card.

For finding out your babies weight go to a Weigh and Play session at the Sunshine Family Hub on Wednesdays, 13:00-14:30. 

Once you’re sorted with your sling you may wish to try out our Mondays up the Malverns walking group!
