NCT Courses and Covid-19

Until the end of February 2021 our courses are online. Currently, due to rising Covid-19 infection rates and official guidance for pregnant women, online is the only way we can safely and practically deliver local, fully interactive and inclusive courses – a decision supported by the Royal College of Midwives.

We know how much you value our in-person courses so we’re keeping our options open for courses from March 2021 onwards. Currently you can still book these as in-person classes but we’ll only bring people back together in venues once it is safe to do so. We’ll never put you, your baby or your family at risk.

To understand more about why we're delivering our courses online please read our course FAQs. Our website also has an up-to-date section on Covid-19 pregnancy and birth information.

Our Covid-19 Price Promise: If you book a course that is already being delivered online you’ll receive a 15% discount at the time of booking. If you book a course that is currently offered as in-person, we’ll give you back 15% of your course fee if we need to move it online to ensure your safety.

We aim to obtain feedback from all parents who attend NCT antenatal and postnatal courses across the UK. With your help we want to find out how well the courses meet the needs of parents-to-be and new parents.

How to give us feedback

If you are attending an antenatal or postnatal course, you will be sent an email after your course asking you to take part in an online feedback survey.

If you do not complete the survey you will be sent up to two reminder emails.

The surveys will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Do I have to take part?

No. Taking part is voluntary but your views would be much appreciated.

Who should complete the surveys?

The surveys are intended for everyone who has attended an NCT course and will be sent to the email address you provided when you booked the course. We are very interested to hear the views of anyone who is attending or has attended one of our courses.

Anonymity and confidentiality of personal information

Your personal details and data supplied on the questionnaire will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Personal contact details will be held by and available to the principal researchers only.

Your feedback will be linked to records that we have about your course via your email address, which will be removed from the survey database before any analysis is carried out. Your responses will be treated in complete confidence. All feedback will be analysed as a group and only the anonymous grouped results will be reported to individual practitioners, to inform their continuing professional development.

How will the data be used?

Results from this survey of NCT service users may be published on the NCT website, used in educational and training materials, or used to raise awareness about parents’ experiences and to improve rights and services for parents.

I didn't receive an email

If you are on an antenatal or postnatal course when your course finishes, your email should arrive within one month. If you do not receive an email please email

If the final email arrives before the post birth reunion please wait until after you have been to the session to complete the last survey. If you do not receive an email that you think you should have received please email

We cannot respond individually to any comments included on the questionnaire. If you would like to receive a reply to your comments or make a complaint, email or phone: 0300 330 0700.
