Welcome to the Frome branch of NCT! Our branch is run by a group of keen volunteers and offers support, information and friendship in the local area for parents and parents-to-be.

Here's an overview of what we offer, and don't forget to check out our well supported Facebook group.

Antenatal classes - these are led by NCT-trained teachers and give you the chance to find out about all aspects of labour, birth and early parenting. Please contact Fiona Makin on or 0844 243 6949 to book a place. There are concessions for people on low incomes or for those in receipt of benefits.

Great Expectations - a free informal antenatal group for pregnant women (partners also welcome). We have a library of books, DVDs, CDs, baby carriers and more for you to try out. The group is currently on a break, but we're hoping to get it started again soon.

Baby Café -  Baby Café Frome is a warm and welcoming breastfeeding support group for all families at any stage of their feeding journey. Meets Fridays, 10am-12pm at Frome Town Hall.

Bumps and Babes - a small friendly local group for new parents and parents-to-be, meeting locally for coffee and chat, usually in a local cafe, which is posted in advance on our Facebook page. Thursday mornings.

Tiddlers Baby and Toddler Group - drop in session with baby area, toys, craft table and refreshments for children and parents/carers. £2 per family. Tuesdays 10 - 11:30am (term time only), Scout Hut, Welshmill, Frome.

Frome Fathers Club - this group meet every Saturday at the Cordero Lounge at 10am and if the weather is dry they go to Welshmill Park at around 11am. They also arrange a pub night every few weeks. You can visit their facebook page here.

Socials - we regularly plan social events, some which include children such as Pancake or Halloween parties, Easter Egg hunts, and some which are for adults only, such as craft nights, skittles matches or a meal out.

Magazine - if you sign up as a member of the NCT you will receive the local magazine which we produce 4 times a year. It contains information of local groups and events, articles and adverts. If you would like to advertise in the magazine, please go to the Advertising page.
