Responding to false vaccine claims that are targeting pregnant and breastfeeding women, Elizabeth Duff, Senior Policy Advisor at NCT said:

"Incorrect information about the Covid vaccine has been spreading online. Research shows the vaccine is safe and highly effective for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

"It is understandable that parents have questions and hesitations about vaccinations, but it is vital that they can trust the information and access support to make their own informed decisions.

"All pregnant women are eligible for an autumn booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as pregnancy is included as a clinical risk group. We recommend speaking to your midwife or GP if you have any questions or concerns."
