Following the birth of my first child in Bristol over a decade ago, I moved to Bradford. I had expressed interest in becoming a breastfeeding peer supporter and following the birth of my youngest rainbow baby, the opportunity to train with NCT came along.

"I have always enjoyed making connections, signposting and sharing information."

I thought that contacting the Bradford and Airedale NCT Branch would help me to continue to do this. I went to a meeting to find out more and offered to help with their Feeding and Changing tent.

I had previously attended groups that had left me feeling a tearful outsider, so I decided to be a welcoming, friendly face for others at the groups that I helped run.

I still help to plan activities and taster sessions for our Bumps, Babies & Toddler groups. And you will still find my girls and I providing support at NCT Feed and Change stations at events across the region!

You might even spot me on some of the online training modules!

"I love interacting with all the people I meet, although I'm much better at faces than names!"
