Being a parent is the most important job on earth, but we all know it can be challenging at times. With the help of our incredible volunteers, our local NCT communities help you to combat loneliness, make new friends, share stories and information, and most importantly, have fun with your baby.

"Once Mark went back to work, I felt incredibly lonely. I had a crying baby and was very, very tired. I almost lost sight of who I was. My confidence was low. A friend told me about NCT’s new mums coffee morning. It took a bit of courage, and a lot of make-up, but I found myself walking into a café of mums with babes in arms like me. The volunteer was super welcoming and kind. Before too long I was hearing stories that sounded so familiar it made me laugh. I realised, I was not alone."

– Amy, (Nuneaton)

"As a new dad on Shared Parental Leave I just felt like I really needed to get out of the house. Being able to drop in to Bumps & Babies was a lifeline as it gave me some time and space to meet other parents and a bit of structure to our day."

- Matt, (Hitchin)
