Little Stars Playgroup: Bumps, Babies and Toddlers
Our volunteers run a weekly playgroup on Mondays at 10-11.30am at St Nicholas Church Hall, Harlech Road, Crosby, L23. This is currently running all year round except bank holidays. This is open to all parents, grandparents and carers with children from birth to pre-school age. There is a small charge (£2.50, £1 siblings or under 6 months) but it includes a snack and craft activity for the children plus a hot drink for the adults. We encourage all attending to help out when possible and invite anyone interested to get involved with helping to run the group.
Due to a recent increase in numbers we have had to set a limit to maximum 25 children (of all ages) and no entry after 10.30 although we may well be 'full' before then. We now have a separate 'Baby Room' which does not currently have a limit on entry numbers. We guarentee entry to those who volunteer to help at the playgroup at least once a month.
Bumps & Babies with Breastfeeding Support Sefton
This is a new free weekly meet up every Thursday 10-11am at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre Cafe for expectant parents & those with little babies who would like a chat with some of our volunteers. Food & drinks are available from the cafe but there is no expectation or pressure to buy them. Older siblings are welcome & our volunteers may have their childen there too. A few toys will be provided for them. It is hosted in a cordoned off area of the cafe in Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre. It is also attended by Breastfeeding Support Sefton who provide independent breastfeeding peer support. The session is 1 hour but people are welcome to stay for longer.
The venue is breastfeeding and baby friendly with bottle warming facilities, highchairs and excellent baby change. There is pay & display parking at the venue with a refund if spending a minimum amount in the cafe, alternatively there is unrestricted on street parking a short walk away at Marine Crescent. There is an excellent park at the marina and those with toddlers may be playing there before the meeting to wear them out ready for sitting during the meet up - this is informal and not an organised part of the event.

For up to date details of available NCT Essential Antenatal Courses in North Liverpool go to the Courses for this branch page.
If none are showing for your due date they may already be fully booked; enquiries can advise about this if you would like to go on a waiting list.
A representative of the branch will try to arrange to visit whilst members are on the course to introduce themselves and tell you about the branch. Hopefully this will make parents-to-be more relaxed and excited about attending branch events for the first time.
Should you decide to attend an antenatal course run by one of our neighbouring branches please email Membership.NorthLiverpool@nct.org.uk to ensure you are included in our members email and newsletter lists.
If you are interested in getting involved with helping to run any of our branch activities, would like to attend our branch meetings or would like to join the branch team please email the branch on email@example.com
