The branch has a group of NCT trained breastfeeding peer supporters who run the Bumps and Babies group at The Graham Adams Centre on Friday mornings alongside Lisa and Gemma our local Breastfeeding Counsellors (10am-11.30am). If you are needing infant feeding support for breastfeeding, formula feeding, introducing solids or just looking to meet other local families more please come along.
2026 we celebrate our 16th year of supporting local families with their infant feeding journey. In 2010 the branch evaluated local services and saw a need to establish a group to support mothers with breastfeeding and gained grant funding to train a cohort of peer supporters and set up a Breastfeeding group. We have continued to train local mums regularly and are hoping to train a new group soon. If you are interested in funding this training or training as a peer supporter (training is provided free to the volunteers) please get in touch either by contacting the branch or by popping in to Bumps and Babies.
