Hello and Welcome to NCT Exeter and East Devon Branch Page
We are your local parent support network and we are here to help you become the parent you want to be.
NCT Exeter and East Devon welcomes every new parent. The local groups and events help forge friendships and raise money for all of NCT's work, locally and nationally.
Our branch is led by volunteers who are passionate about connecting and supporting parents in Exeter and East Devon. We run our events and activities with the aim that no parent is isolated and all parents are supported. You can join our friendly team of volunteers to help do great things for local parents.
Here's what our branch can offer you:
Meet other parents
Pregnancy and parenthood can be a great opportunity to make new friends with your baby and NCT volunteers offer you just that: A baby-friendly setting to meet up, share experience and make friends.
Our weekly, fortnightly and monthly local events are great excuses to get out of the house, meet other parents and parents-to-be like you, have a chat about how life is going around your baby’s needs and chill out over a cuppa and a cake.
Bumps and Babies
Due to Covid-19 related government guidelines, we are hosting online Bumps and Babies groups.
Join us online every Monday between 11:00-12:00 for:
- A chance for a friendly chat with other mums and mums-to-be.
- A place to share the highs and lows of your parenting journey or get tips on specific topics such as weaning, play activities, keeping your baby cool in the summer and much more!
No booking necessary, just make yourself a cup of tea and log in :)
Join our Facebook page to find out more about our next event, the latest updates and login details.
NCT Courses and Workshops
NCT Exeter and East Devon will support you before, during and after your baby arrives. If you're looking for information about one of our local antenatal or new parents courses and workshops, you can get details from our course finder. Our courses and workshops are famous as a great way to meet other new parents, so why not have a look?
Introducing Solid Foods Online Workshops
Introducing solid foods is an exciting journey for you and your baby. It can also be a bit daunting wading through all the advice and information. NCT is still here to help.
“Having fun” is the motto when it comes to volunteering with NCT. You can meet new people while using your skills or learning new ones to support local families. It’s also an invaluable way to give back to the community.
Our branch covers a large geographic area from EX1 to EX17, but currently our activities are focused in and around Exeter. We’re always looking for volunteers to help us expand the ways we can support parents.
So why not get in touch to see which volunteering opportunities are available with us today? You can give as little as one hour a week of your time and there’s plenty of support to be found from NCT’s local, regional or central bodies when fulfilling your role.
We are currently looking for keen social media ethusiasts to join our team. Please click here for more details.
Nearly New Sale
Due to Covid-19 related government guidelines, we are unable to host this event at this moment.
Please follow our Facebook page here for our next event.
The cost of kitting out babies and toddlers can easily run into thousands of pounds and most of the items you buy may only last for a few months as the little ones grow fast. Our Nearly New Sale is the best market to buy great quality second hand baby, kids and maternity goods for a fraction of the price. It is also the best place to sell your preloved goods and raise money both for you and for NCT charity. In Exeter and East Devon we have an experienced team and we organise two Nearly New Sales a year.
Follow us on our Facebook page for further details about selling, buying and volunteering opportunities in our sales
Our Information Pack and Sale Label Template are available to download at the bottom of this page.
