Our next Nearly New Sale is on Sunday 21st April 2024, 1-3pm, at The Badger Farm Community Centre (12.45pm entry for NCT members).
At our NCT Nearly New Sales you will find a wide range of great quality second hand baby, children and maternity items, ranging from clothes and shoes, to equipment, to toys and games.
If you haven't been to one of our sales before, how does it work?
Items from all sellers will be sorted into categories, giving a department store-style shopping experience, which is unique to the NCT. So, buyers will find items conveniently organised by type or size, and there will be tills where they can pay for their shopping all together. Entry is £1.50 per adult charity donation on the door. Entry will be free after 2.30pm. Please note that our sale will be cashless and buggy free (although a buggy park will be available on the day).
For sellers you price and label your items at home and then drop them off at the start of the day. Any unsold items can either be collected after the sale or left with us for onward donation. There's no need to worry about displaying or haggling, and no need to stay all day - our team of volunteers will do the rest.
Seller spaces for last sale sold out! So, email firstname.lastname@example.org to be notified when registrations open for the 21st April.
All our registered on-the-day helpers and organising team members will benefit from priority seller booking for our April sale, so if you'd like to get involved and secure yourself a seller space, you can sign up to join here.
The event is run by a large team of on-the-day helpers, as well as a small committee. Helping on the day gives you the benefit of early access shopping as well as priority seller booking and reduced commission on any items you're selling - plus it's a great way to meet other local parents!
A range of roles will be available during the day and more information can be found on our registration page, or email email@example.com to find out more. We'll also be meeting for an Nearly Near Sale social at 8pm on 30th November at the King Alfred pub in Hyde, so please come along and find out more.
Children: Babes in arms are welcome, but it can be difficult to volunteer and look after a young mobile child. It is advisable given previous experiences, that children are not brought to the sale if you are volunteering. If you need to bring a child to the sale, please contact us, so we can see what we are able to arrange. Parents are responsible for and must supervise any under 16s at all times.
As a thank you for your support, we offer early entry at our sales for NCT members. Find out more about becoming an NCT member.
