Here are the types of breastfeeding and infant feeding support available and how to find out what’s available in your area.
Call the NCT Infant Feeding line
If you need feeding information, support or just someone to talk to, give one of our trained Breastfeeding Counsellors a call on 0300 330 0700. The line supports all types of feeding and is open every day from 8am to midnight, including bank holidays. Support is free.
Infant Feeding Support in your local community
NCT provides a variety of infant feeding support in the community including NCT Baby Cafés led by an NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor and peer-led drop-ins led by NCT trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporters. Any parent or expectant parent is welcome to come along to for support with feeding their baby and to meet other parents in your area.

NCT Peer led groups
Our trained NCT peer support volunteers provide social, emotional, and practical support to pregnant women and new mums.
Peer supporters are parents themselves who live in the local area, and have personal experience of pregnancy, raising a child and everything in between.
We offer infant feeding peer support in the following areas:
- Ayrshire and Arran
- Hackney
- Hartlepool
- Hounslow
- Kent
- Lancashire
- Newham
- Peterborough and Cambridgeshire
