Location East Lancashire based within the community/hospital with some home working.
Salary £17,828.57 (£25,110.66 FTE)

About the role

Join our passionate team and contribute to the meaningful work to support parents and families in Lancashire. The Regional Lead (East) is a vital role that will ensure the smooth delivery of the NCT Infant Feeding Peer Support service across Lancashire. Building strong relationships with staff, volunteers and local stakeholders to embed NCT peer support within the Infant Feeding referral pathway.

Your role will include:  

  • Providing line management and support to the NCT Infant Feeding Peer Support staff and volunteer team within your region.  
  • Managing peer support rotas for place-based community support within your region.
  • Telephoning new parents, triaging their infant feeding needs and offering evidenced based infant feeding support and information.  
  • Engage with underrepresented communities through networking with other local organisations.
  • Responding to referrals and signposting to health professionals as and where required. 

About you

  • Have a passion for breastfeeding and infant feeding and ensuring every family in Lancashire has accessible support.  
  • Have experience in motivating teams and managing volunteers
  • Experience of working alongside health professions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus.
  • Have worked within or have knowledge of the local perinatal services and communities within the Lancashire area.
