At NCT, we are committed to ensuring that our support for parents - both before and after birth - is meaningful, inclusive, and responsive to their needs. In 2022, we launched a bold five-year strategy to reach more parents, grow our impact, and strengthen the foundations of our charity so we can continue to serve families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. 

•     Chichester MP Jess Brown-Fuller, NCT Chief Executive Angela McConville and local NCT Volunteers appeal for local organisations to support the Chichester and Arun baby bank as needs soar  
•   Visit comes as Baby Bank Alliance publishes data that Baby banks in the Southeast of England have supported over 60,000 children and over 30,000 families in 2024*  

Responding to the Chancellor’s Spending Review, Angela McConville, Chief Executive, NCT (National Childbirth Trust) said: 

A local mum and mental health advocate has hosted the first NCT Walk and Talk in Reading in four years, providing the opportunity to new and expectant parents in the area for a community walk to celebrate National Walking Month.  

The anniversary of the Birth Trauma All Party Parliamentary Group's report, Listen to Mums, and the annual Birth Trauma Summit run by Make Birth Better present an important moment to pause and recognise the experience of parents who have had traumatic births. These parents deserve immense compassion and empathy, but even more than that they deserve change to make maternity safety a top priority in the UK. 

NCT, the UK’s leading charity for parents, is calling on Members of Parliament to attend and speak at the Westminster Hall debate on Black maternal health, taking place on Tuesday 29th April.
