Our friendly walking group for babies and toddlers in carriers or slings.
Mondays at 10:30am, at one of six different locations around the Malvern Hills each week.
Our Walking Group
Mondays up the Malverns is a friendly walking group that meets every Monday at 10.30am. The walks, run by our friendly volunteers, are roughly an hour to an hour and a half long. We take a relaxed pace, and it's a great place to meet and chat with other parents. If your baby needs a feed or change on the way, we will happily stop for you.
The walks that we currently have in rotation start at North Quarry, Eastnor Deerpark, Black Hill, British Camp, Sugarloaf and Gardiner's Quarry. The routes on the hills are not pram friendly, so we recommend carrying your baby in a sling or carrier. If you are new to baby wearing and you would like some advice, please contact our Sling Library for information and sling hire. There is either free parking nearby or a Malvern Hills Trust car park, so lots of our parents have a Malvern Hills Trust parking pass to save them money across the year. All our routes are carefully planned so we have a coffee and cake stop at the end too.
All mums and dads are welcome, and feel free to bring along grandparents or older school age children too, providing they are able to walk at a reasonable pace. For toddlers who wish to walk themselves, our Welly Tots group is more appropriate, as the walks are dictated by the pace of the toddlers and the focus is more on exploring and muddy puddles. Friendly dogs are also welcome but must remain on leads where livestock are grazing.
Come and Join Us
To find out more information about our walks, we have a Facebook group, Mondays up the Malverns, where the start location of the walk each week is shared, and you can drop us a comment to say you're attending. If you do not have access to Facebook, our walks are also available on the NCT Local Activities Finder, and tend to be posted the weekend before the walk. We also have a Whatsapp group, if you would like to join, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our walks are free to attend, and you don't need to be an NCT member to come along.
