The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) has today released its response to the Competition Market Authority’s recommendations to reforming the formula milk market in the UK.

This World Mental Health Day, NCT Parents in Mind in Coventry and Warwickshire wants to let mothers and birthing people struggling with their mental health know that support is available. The project provides safe, sensitive mental health peer support for local mothers and birthing people in pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.  

We are heartbroken and outraged by the attack at a synagogue in Manchester today. Our thoughts are with everyone who is impacted by this, and we stand in full solidarity with Jewish families and communities.  

NCT is calling on members of parliament to attend, support, and speak at the House of Commons debate being held in recognition of Baby Loss Awareness Week on Monday 13th October. 

In light of the unrest, marches, and racially motivated attacks in several communities across the UK this weekend and in recent weeks, NCT stands with all pregnant women, new parents, families and communities who may be feeling worried, unsettled or unsafe, as well as those working and volunteering in maternity and postnatal care who continue to provide vital support in these challenging times. 

Responding to the announcement of the full Terms of Reference for the National Maternity Investigation, and the 14 NHS Trusts that will be investigated, NCT’s Chief Executive, Angela McConville, said:
